Communal meals at Beilari

Meal

Dinner at Beilari is served communally. Joy and Jacques welcome everyone-in French, Spanish, Basque, German, Italian and often other languages as needed.

They use the "ball game" to get us to learn names: using an imaginary ball, one says one's name and tosses the "ball" to someone else who does the same. Its actually quite fun and really helps to break ice. As does a glass house wine!

Then each person is encouraged to share a bit- we learn where folks are from, where they are heading, how long they will walk, and most interestingly, why they are walking the Camino.

Meals are simple but delicious. Mostly vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options, all served family style. Soup, pasta, veggies - and chocolate mousse for dessert.
